What we collect
Reparse collects:
- The resume file you upload, and the employment history extracted from it.
- Search preferences you set, such as location, comp floor, and title bands.
- Your email address, for your account and for us to contact you.
- Payment metadata from Stripe, such as subscription status and billing dates. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Why we collect it
We use this information to:
- Extract a bullet-point work history so job postings can be scored against it.
- Match and rank job postings against your requirements and history.
- Generate a tailored resume from bullets you have confirmed as accurate.
- Run your subscription: billing, account access, and support.
Who we share it with
We share data with the following services, and only for the purpose stated:
- Anthropic, to score job postings against your work history and to generate tailored resume text.
- Stripe, to process payment and manage your subscription.
- Clerk, to handle account sign-in.
- LinkedIn, only if you choose to sign in with it. LinkedIn tells us your name, email address and profile picture, and learns that you have a Reparse account. We send LinkedIn nothing else — not your resume, not your work history, and not the jobs you look at.
- Supabase, to store your data.
- Vercel, to host the site and to count page views. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with employers or job boards.
Retention
We keep data for as long as it serves the purpose above, then delete it on this schedule:
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Uploaded resume files | Deleted after parsing; only extracted bullets persist |
| Bullets, profile, prefs | Life of account |
| Matches | 180 days rolling |
| Generated packets | 180 days rolling |
| Cancelled accounts | Purged 30 days after subscription ends |
| Global job postings | Indefinite (not personal data) |
Global job postings are not personal data: they describe a role at a company, not a person, and are kept indefinitely so the service can show posting history such as "last seen."
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Review and correct the work history and preferences on your account.
- Download a copy of your data on request.
- Delete your account and data. This removes your profile, work history, matches, applications, generated documents, and uploaded files from our systems, and cancels your subscription.
Deleting your account does not erase Stripe's own payment records. Stripe retains its own records of your payments as required by law, independent of what we delete. Deleting your account is not total erasure of every record everywhere; it removes what we hold.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy as the service changes. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do.
Contact
Questions about this Policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent to the contact address listed on the site.
